How should I prepare for a survey?
Leave the affected walls accessible if you can, and gather previous reports, photographs and notes about when the problem changes. There is no need to redecorate beforehand.
What if the property does not need damp treatment?
That is useful to know. If ventilation, maintenance, plumbing or another trade is the better next step, the survey recommendation will say so.
